Hideaway
Not just a place to stay
Set by Lake Most na Soči, in the heart of the Soča Valley, Tu’lie is a family-run hideaway created from a deep wish to share this place as we experience it ourselves. Surrounded by water, hills, and the quiet rhythm of the valley, it invites guests to slow down and connect with the landscape in a genuine way.
The hotel includes 12 rooms and a penthouse, a small spa with saunas and a yoga room, and a restaurant with a bar, all designed to feel calm, personal, and closely connected to the surroundings.
A name rooted in place
The name Tu’lie comes from the local dialect and means “from here.” We chose it because everything we do is inspired by what surrounds us – the land, the people, the culture, and the pace of life in this valley.
Tu’lie is a hotel of its own kind, where comfort meets rural simplicity. We value personal connection, while at the same time offering our guests space, quiet, and time for themselves.
The people behind TU'LIE
Tu’lie is shaped by us – Taja and Luka. Taja, a lifelong dreamer, has carried the idea of having her own hotel since childhood. Luka, a professional whitewater canoe slalom athlete, brings a deep connection to nature, movement, and the river.
With roots in the village of Modrejce – where Luka’s ancestors come from and where Taja’s great-grandmother once lived – this place holds personal meaning for both of us. Together, we created Tu’lie out of a shared desire to open this beautiful piece of land to others.
Art, craft, and local creators
Art plays an important role in the spirit of Tu’lie. Throughout the hotel, guests will find works by Slovenian designers and creators, thoughtfully chosen to complement the space.
Even in the making of our lights, we collaborated with three different local creators, each bringing their own craft and expression – together shaping an atmosphere that feels warm, authentic, and alive.
